It's official, I'm coming to your state to go as fast as possible on your roads (again). Just got my registration in to co-drive for Ryan Wilcox in his #165 Impreza wagon at the Lake Superior Performance Rally in Houghton, Michigan. If you've ever played DiRT 3 then you know what the roads, and the scenery, is like (namely fantastic). When I was out there last year I even found the copper mine building that in the game you get to race through (no, the rally course doesn't really go through the building. Houghton is gorgeous and I can't wait to return. I encourage all Michigan Oppos to come up to the rally, it's a fantastic event on some of the best roads in the championship!

It seems so unfair that I live in southern Ohio and that is 13 hours away from me.

Just realized I could get there via Chicago. If I tell the wife that she may let me go with the promise of bringing home Giordanos.

Loved Dirt 3, and the Michigan rally was the best in the game. They really nailed the slick roads on those descents, and the feel of it was altogether very different than the rest of the game (bridges w/o rails, switchbacks, great transitions from gravel to tarmac.)
Dammit, just now seeing that it's UP, and doubt I can justify making that long a haul.
Somehow I always pictured these routes being around Huron/Michigan.

McSeanerson is working on coming from southern Ohio. Your argument is invalid

Sadly no. I'm saving up for a big trip next spring, so I need to earn as much scratch as I can
